According to Spanish newspaper Marca, Diego Costa wants a move away from England. The Chelsea top scorer is reportedly unhappy with the rainy weather, language barrier and food, leaving the striker keen on a return to Atletico Madrid.

The Brazil-born Spain international only moved to Stamford Bridge from the Spanish capital last summer and on the pitch has been quick to make an impact.

Despite suffering a series of injury set-backs, he still managed to notch 20 goals in the Premier League.

However, according to Spanish newspaper Marca , Costa is keen on a return to Spain having failed to settle in London.

It’s even suggested that Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone has been in contact with the 26-year-old in a bid to convince him to return to the club with which he won the La Liga a year ago.

Any attempt to leave Chelsea would be blocked by Jose Mourinho and owner Roman Abramovich considering Costa’s impact and that only last summer they spent £27m on him.

Wages would also be an issue if Costa were serious about returning to Atletico, with the club unable to match what Chelsea are paying, which is thought to be double what he was on at his former club.
