The ongoing FIFA congress has been hit by a bomb scare. Police in Zurich have confirmed the threat.
"We can confirm the receipt of a bomb threat," Zurich police said.
Swiss media is reporting police were alerted to the threat at about 11am local time.
Fifa members have been evacuated from the main hall and it remains unknown whether the congress will resume. They met in Switzerland to elect a new president after the FBI announced four individuals and two commercial entities had admitted to widespread corruption.
FIFA is meeting in Zurich to elect its next president, with Sepp Blatter being challenged by Prince Ali of Jordan.
