Done deal? K P Boateng reportedly agrees terms with Galatasaray
28.05.2015 LISTEN

According to reports in Germany via Turkish media, Kevin-Prince Boateng has agreed a deal to join Super Lig giants, Galatasaray.

The former Ghana international, according to Galatasaray President, Dursun Özbek already gave the Turkey league leaders a commitment to a four-year contract.

The 28-year-old still has a valid contract with Schalke until 2016, with an option to automatically extend for another year until 2017 but was suspended indefinitely from the team two weeks ago.

Boateng signed for Schalke in August 2013 for a ten million Euro transfer fee from AC Milan but fell out of favour with the Bundesliga clubs officials, taking the bane for the club's poor season which culminated in their failure to qualify for the UEFA Champions' League for the first time in four years.

Boateng was suspended along with Sidney Sam from Schalke games and training but per German labour law, the retired players union have indicated their insistence on Schalke to comply with its agreements with full pay.

Boateng has been linked with moves to Roma, Lazio, MLS or even back to Milan but it appears Galatasaray have won the race after a $1.5 million offer.

Both parties are said to have already agreed but on the terms of a contract. Follow @thedonplato
