Ghanaian football legend Stephen Appiah has given the clearest indication that the Accra Stadium will be full to capacity when he hosts a galaxy of stars in his testimonial match on June 27.

However, he kept the names of those who would be playing in the game close to his chest when the media posed the question during his official visit to the Osu chief, Nii Okwei Kinka Dowuna VI.

The former Black Stars captain is expecting playmates from his days in Udinese, Parma, Juventus, Brescia, through Fenerbahce to Vojvodina.

And as custom demands, he, together with organizers of the event, Primeval Media, officially invited the Osu chief.

'You are the custodians of this land, and it is appropriate that I invite you officially for my testimonial game. I expect the stadium to be full to capacity because of the stars that will be honouring the invitation,' Appiah said.

Nunmo Gbele Mli Fo, Gua Wolomo, who stood in for the Osu Chief pledged the Palace's support for the game saying, 'Appiah is one of our own. We promise to support you to the fullest to make the occasion a success. We pray for success in all you do as you hang your boots. We will be there to lend a hand.'

Powered by Primeval Media, the game will be preceded by a fund raising dinner gala at the Banquet Hall of the State House in Accra on June 26.

Spokesperson for Primeval Media, Jeffery Asare, told the media that the response from corporate Ghana for the event was encouraging.

Leadership of the Palace offered prayers for Appiah by pouring libation to the gods of the land.
