Vibrant Yamoah Kwaku Leads Launch of Natural Marketing Maiden Berekum Colts Football Event

Passionate football enthusiast Yamoah Kwaku led the official launching ceremony of the inaugural Berekum U-15 colts football event on Friday May 22, 2015 in Berekum, a novelty talent spotter organized by Natural Marketing in collaboration with Berekum Colts Football clubs.

The ceremony was also attended by Berekum Municipal Colts Football chairman-Nana Boamah Darko.

The initiative has been greeted well by the Berekum municipality as, if it becomes a mainstay, will go a long way to help unearth football talents in the said area.

Berekum has two popular Football Clubs Berekum Arsenal and Berekum Chelsea and the latter won the 2010/11 Ghana Premier League.

Nana Boamah took the audience through the modalities of the competition and that there are going to be twelve colts clubs in the maiden event which started on Saturday May 23 and will end on Monday May 25, 2015.

‘All the twelve colts teams at the U15 level in Berekum are partaking and the total number of matches shall be nineteen.The twelve teams will be grouped into four groups of three teams each” Nana Boamah revealed.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Natural Marketing CEO, Yamoah Kwaku called for all hands on deck to help revive colts football in the country and for that matter will need massive corporate financial and product support to extend the initiative outside the Berekum municipality.

“We want to help create bigger platforms for our young players.There are lot of talents in this town and it is in that light that we have put this thing in place to spot the very good ones.For starters, we are beginning at Berekum and so as we go on with subsequent editions, we shall try to extend our coverage areas in the Brong Ahafo region and we entreat the various corporate bodies to support us when we call on them.” he emphasized

The former SRC Public Relations Officer of Sunyani Polytechnic also took the time to acknowledge the main partners of the event.

‘We want to extend our gratitude to our partners especially Perfect Edge Group, GN Bank Ghana Ltd, Berekum MCE Opoku Boakye Yiadom, Medilab, Mohammed Kordey and the various radio stations in Berekum and elsewhere” Yamoah added.
