Boadi Junction Shell Sponsors AU Tennis 

Nana Attakora of 4 Garrison Officers Mess in top form for the tournament.

Boadi junction shell Filling Station, located at Boadi near Kumasi, is the proud sponsor of this year's African Union (AU) Tennis Tournament, which will take place at the Royal Golf Club on Monday.

Host team, the 4 Garrison Officers' Mess Tennis Club, who have recorded important wins against all the tennis clubs they have faced this year, would lock horns with the Ashanti Tennis Club.

Mr. Jackson Prah, Managing Director of the Boadi Junction Shell Service Station, said he has over the years been thrilled with the strenuous efforts of 4 Garrison Officers Mess Tennis Club to develop tennis in the Ashanti Region.

According to him, the impressive efforts of Mess Tennis has contributed in unearthing young talents, stressing that his company is proud to sponsor the AU tournament to help boost the sport in the region.

President of 4 Garrison Officers Mess Tennis Club, Samuel Ampadu-Kyei aka 'Kyikyiss' said his club appreciates Boadi Junction Shell Service Station's sponsorship package for the AU Tennis Tournament.

He said organizing tournaments of such nature requires a lot of cash injection, appealing to other corporate organizations to support Mess Tennis in promoting the game of tennis.

The tournament will also serve as a return encounter between the clubs. The first leg was played at Ashanti Club which was won by 4 Garrison Officers Mess Tennis Club.

Those likely to feature for 4 Garrison Officers Mess Tennis Club include Kofi Affum Baffoe, Henry Akwaboah, Samuel Ampadu-Kyei, Nana Attakora, and Augustine Boateng.

The ladies include Bridgatte Sutinga and Paulina Asembeng.

The one-day tournament starts at exactly 8am.
Ashanti Club will feature players like Alex Asante Yeboah (Abele), George Osei Agyei, Nana Yaw Nyamah, Kwabena Gyamfi, and Dr. Thomas Dennis.
