22.05.2015 LISTEN

Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan, who is also the manager of Emmanuel 'Game Boy' Tagoe, has attributed the boxer's current ratings to hard work.

Game Boy returned to the first 10 of the World Boxing Association (WBA), as he was ranked Number 9 in the latest Lightweight Division pegging.

Gyan told DAILY GUIDE SPORTS on telephone after the latest ranking that 'I attribute this to hardwork by the boxer and the entire Baby Jet Promotions team. I want to commend them for the feat.

'It's not been easy, but I believe we will surely get there one day; I mean getting a World title shot. Tagoe was phenomenal in his last fight against Reyes and I have urged him not to look back.

'We will do all we could as management to win the country yet another world title. I see it coming, but again I believe hardwork will make it happen.

'The latest ranking will certainly urge us on to go the extra mile.'

Tagoe's latest raking places him in a position for a probable combat with fine Ghanaian Lightweights Richard Commey, ranked number 7 by IBF and Rafael Mensah, WBA number 6, who dared 'Game Boy' after the Tagoe-Reyes bout in Accra.
