Ghana midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah is set to play his first match in six months tonight as he has been has been named in Juventus squad to face Inter Milan in the Italian top-flight.

The 26-year-old has been named in Juventus’ 21-man squad for the match to be played in Milan on Saturday night.

This is the first time he has been named by the Italian giants since he suffered a knee injury that has keept him out of action for six months.

The 26-year-old joined his Juventus colleagues in training on Sunday morning as they prepare for the return fixture of their UEFA Champions League semi-final return leg against Real Madrid.

The former Udinese man took part in the full session and showed signs of tremendous improvement from the career-threatening injury he suffered in December last year.

The naming of Asamoah in the Juventus squad shows he has fully recovered from the injury.

Juventus must focus on doing the Italian double before thinking about playing Barcelona in the Champions League final, says boss Massimiliano Allegri.

The Serie A champions knocked out holders Real Madrid to set up the meeting with Barca on 6 June in Berlin.

Juve also play Lazio in the Coppa Italia final on Wednesday.

“The Champions League is the priority, but we mustn’t take our eye off everything else,” said Allegri, 47.

Allegri, who replaced Antonio Conte last summer, is two victories away from helping Juve become only the second Italian club to win the treble.

Inter Milan won the Champions League, Serie A and Coppa Italia in the 2009-10 season when under the stewardship of Jose Mourinho.

Juve, who travel to Inter on Saturday, won their fourth straight Serie A title earlier this month with four matches left.

And Allegri has decided to rest key players Gianluigi Buffon, Andrea Pirlo, Carlos Tevez, Patrice Evra and Arturo Vidal for the trip to the San Siro.
