Herbert Addo has expressed that Accra Hearts of Oak lost at home to the Malians giants due to fatigue which set in his team.

Accra Hearts of Oak, who won 2-1 in the first leg of the CAF Confederations Cup tie in Mali against Djoliba fc were shocked at home, but qualified to the next stage on the away goal rule.

Addo believes that their tight assignments in recent times affected their play negatively.

'We lost because fatigue has set in the team. We have played 3 games in 10 days against Olympics, Ashgold and Djoliba, so most of the boys were tired.

'All the same I think the game gave some of the young players an experience in continental football

Hearts of Oak will know their next opponent for the last stage of the CAF Confederations Cup knockout stage on Tuesday.

Hearts of Oak will be drawn against one of the losers of the last stage of the CAF Champions League.
