28.04.2015 LISTEN

Laryea Kingston, who returned from Europe two seasons ago to feature for Accra Hearts of Oak has decided to join Accra Gt. Olympics during the second half of the First Capital Plus Premier League, after almost two years without active football.

This decision follows the Gt. Olympics-Hearts of Oak clash on last week Sunday at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium that produced much attraction due to the contribution of GPL returnees such as Dan Quaye, Godwin Attram, Richard Kingson, etc in the game.

Laryea Kingston who was one of the spectators in the Accra derby which created much excitement despite failing to produce any goal has expressed his desire to play for his boyhood club Accra Gt. Olympics when the transfer window reopens to usher in the second round of the league.

'I have not retired from football. I even started training very hard next month,' the former Heart of Midlothians midfielder told the press.

'I will be more than happy to play for Olympics hopefully in the second round of the league, because the fans are calling for my return.

'I have not talked to the management yet, but would that to see the way forward.'

The 34-year-old first tasted Ghana Premier League football as a player for Gt. Olympics, before he joined Accra Hearts of Oak. He went abroad to ply his trade and after 9 years, he rejoined Hearts of Oak, but left following disagreement with the technical team.
