Former GFA boss Alhaji Jawula has hailed the impact Godwin Attram, Richrad Kingson and Dan Quaye have had on the local game and says they added needed bite to the Accra derby.

The Accra Sports Stadium witnessed an overall spike as 15,000 spectators turned out for the game between Capital rivals Great Olympics and Hearts of Oak.

The turnout was a huge improvement on the normal stadia attendance which ranges between 1000 and 2000.

Jawula a former FA boss says the impressive numbers witnessed at the Accra Sports stadium was down to the experience in the side of Olympics.

“I am very certain that when we get the experience like Olympics have in their ranks we will improve our league,” Jawula told Citi FM

“I was with the President in Tamale but once the numbers starting coming I was so certain it was the impact of the Olele Attram and Dan Quaye.

“We have to try and encourage our players to stay a bit more to improve our league and also get the experienced ones to also play in it.”
