Ex Ghana defender Anthony Baffoe is attending a meeting of the International Football Association Board (IFAB) to discuss an amendment of a football law which will allow for a fourth substitution in extra time.

Baffoe is attending the meeting as one of the members of the newly constituted Football Advisory Panel of the IFAB – the lawmaking body for football.

Items for discussion at the meeting which convened on Monday and being rotated across London, Belfast and Cardiff include a fourth substitute in extra time, interpretation of the offside law, handling the ball and video replays for match officials.

IFAB has previously agreed to a proposal for a fourth substitute in extra time, but asked for the issue to be assessed by the advisory panels before any further discussion.

Officials will also debate the potential use of “sin bins”, but no law change can be made during the latest routine meeting.

IFAB consists of representatives from the UK's four British associations and four representatives from FIFA.

The laws of the game are reviewed once a year at an annual general meeting.
