Asante Kotoko midfielder Jordan Opoku is urging his teammates to put behind their disappointing draw at New Edubiase and focus on their next match.

The champions came from a goal down to race into a 2-1 lead before halftime in the game played in Obuasi.

Kotoko looked destined for the precious maximum away points until a late strike from Aminu Dramani secured a share of the spoils for the hosts.

The disappointing result has left many of the Kotoko fans lamenting on the draw with some even accusing referee William Agbovi of robbing them of a win.

But midfielder Opoku wants the side to refocus their energies towards the next game during the side's continued difficult spell.

“We came here for the three points but we couldn't achieve this,” he said.

“This game must be forgotten quickly for us to focus on our next game.

“We are in a difficult period and we need to work extra hard to ensure we return to the best of our game.”

Kotoko next host Heart of Lions on Wednesday.
