APR 24, 2015 LISTEN

Portland Timbers goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey says he has not asked for changes to be made to the technical set up of the Black Stars as a caveat for his return to the team.

Kwarasey ruled himself out of selection for the national team after an incident during the World Cup in Brazil where he was taken out of the starting line up before a group game against Germany and replaced with Fatau Dauda leading to a tirade against the team's goalkeeper's trainer,Nassamu Yakubu in Norwegian newspaper Verdang Gang.

Speculation has been rife that Kwarasey had made the removal of the former Hearts and Okwahu United a condition for a return to the Black Stars.

In an interview with  Allsports.com.gh , Kwarasey however refuted the speculation.

"I have read and heard that I expect the goal keeper's trainer to be changed for me.It's not true.I don't expect anything to be changed for me."

"The only thing I expect is that I will come there and work and maintain my level or get better not the opposite.I work with what I have but I have a club and I have to be honest with myself and with my club.If it's not good for me i need to think twice about it but like I have said the new coach in place is however a major step in the right direction."

National team coach Avram Grant recently met the goalkeeper to discuss the possibility of a return to the team
