Pep Guardiola will face old club, FC Barcelona for the first time when they meet Bayern Munich in the semi finals of this year's UEFA Champions' League, Friday morning's draw has revealed.

Italian champions, Juventus were drawn against defending champions and 10-time winners, Real Madrid in the other last four tie of world football's biggest club tournament.

Guardiola whose side were annihilated at this same stage of last year's competition 5-0 on aggregate by Real Madrid, will have the chance to make amends but he must overcome his former team with the decisive second leg at Bayern's Allianz Arena.

Barcelona host the first leg on at Camp Nou on 6 May before the second leg in Munich on May 12.

Real Madrid's quest to become the first team to successfully defend the trophy in its league format faces the test of Juventus who host the first leg in Turin on 5th May with the second leg at the Santiago Bernabeu on May 13.

Guardiola won 13 trophies as a manager - including the 2009 and 2011 Champions Leagues - during four years at Barcelona from 2008 to 2012 and has reached the Champions League semi-finals in each of his six seasons as a manager, four with Barca and now two with Bayern.

Madrid coach, Carlo Ancelotti will also be reunited with one of his former clubs, with the Italian having managed Juventus from 1999 to 2001.

In the Europa League, holders Sevilla face Fiorentina, while Rafael Benitez's Napoli are up against Ukraine's Dnipro. Follow @thedonplato
