Ex-Kotoko coach Schmidt hails celebrated Stephen Oduro as 'gift' to club

Ex-Kotoko coach Hans Dieter Schmidt has hailed the work ethics of veteran midfielder Stephen Oduro, labeling him as a big 'gift'to the club.

The 32-year-old is hugely regarded as the fans' favourite following his unrivalled commitment to the club since he arrived from Real Tamale United in 2000.  

The former Ghana Under-20 midfielder has been impressive for the Porcupine Warriors despite being at the twilight of his career.

And the German trainer, who coached him during his spell with the Ghanaian champions in the 2004/5 season has been impressed with his work ethics.

He has described the experienced and intelligent enforcer as a 'gift' to the club.

” He (Oduro) is a wonderfull person. Very professional in the daily work. My p?aymaker , with radar to a?l sides. And he was dangerous too”,

“A gift  for all supporters, teammates and coaches.”

Oduro has insisted he has no plans of calling time on his career and continues to endear himself to the club's teeming followers.
