Dreams FC Head Coach C.K Akonnor has arrived in Mexico with officials of Wolfsburg for a one week Coaching clinic and training stint with one of the Youth wings of the Club.

The 41 year old will be working closely with some of his former team mates at the Wolfsburg in Mexico for a period of one week before he returns to Ghana.

Akonnor is seen by the clubs board as one of the intelligent Ex Stars who is likely to earn a Coaching role at the club in future.

Reports in Germany say the former Ghana captain might be given one of the Academies to handle in not too distant future. Wolfsburg boats of two major youth Academies around America presently having set up sides in Mexico and Uruguay.

C.K Akonnor has been coaching since 2009 when he took charge of Sekondi Eleven Wise. The former Okwahu United winger moved to Accra Hearts of Oak in 2012 but was fired after only one season.

Currently Akonnor is in charge of Kweiman based side Dreams FC which competes in the national Division One League. Dreams sits on top of the Zone with 16 points after eight round of matches.

The ambitious Coach has twice worked as Assistant Coach of the Ghana under 17 team, Black Starlets. His last national team job was back in 2012 with the Black Satellites when he was Assistant to Orlando Wellington.

Akonnor has been in Germany since Monday April 1, on the invitation of Bundesliga side Wolfsburg and the trip to Mexico is one of the modules of Wolfsburg which is held annually for their Youth sides.

C.K Akonnor spent twelve years in Germany where he played for Fortuna Koln, Wolfsburg and Spvgg Unterhaching during his playing days. He later played in Norway and Greece before retiring from football in 2012.
