Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko skipper Kofi Nti Boakye says he is ready for bigger challenges in career as a footballer.

Speaking to yours truly in Accra, the deadly striker who is out of contract with the Porcupine Warriors and was on trails in South Africa with Ajax Cape Town said he wants to return to the Black Stars, hence looking for opportunities to make in big with any club that can offer him a good contract.

The rising star who played in Libya with Ahli Tripoli in 2013 and Egyptian side Misr El Makasa hinted that it was not easy in north Africa due the political unrest, so he chosed to go to South Africa, however the contract offered by Ajax Cape Town was not what he wanted so he told them to hold on.

He denied reports that he failed trails with the South African club adding that the terms of agreement was not favourable so he decided to consult his managers before appending his signature to a contract.

According to the junior brother of former Black Stars striker Isaac Boakye, he is ready for any club that will give him the chance to be exposed as a footballer and he would prefer going to Europe if the South African deal falls through.

“I have not failed trails as reported on the internet and other media sources, I just did not agree with the terms of Ajax. How can they say am not good when I scored five goals in a training match. The second day, I scored two goals, so how can they say am not good. I just did not like the deal” he expressed.

Kofi Nti Boakye played for Liberty Professionals and Heart of Lions before joining Kotoko.

He recounts Kotoko versus New Edubease as his most memorable match, because he scored the first goal under one minute and got the two goals on the day.

Back in Ghana, he trains daily at the Lizzy Sports Complex with Coaches John Welbeck, Eric Antwi and Percy Mills.

Coach Welbeck says the best of Nti Boakye is yet to come and very soon he will be the player that everybody wants to watch.
