Kotoko players to go on special diet after club sign deal with nutrition sponsor Herbalife

Kotoko are putting their players on special diet with Herbalife's healthy balanced nutritional products to manage their weight, energy, fitness and personal care to buildup them up for the physical challenge of the sport.

The defending champions and the global nutrition company based signed a pact last Thursday for the latter to become the Porcupines' nutrition sponsor.

The two-year renewable contract which is worth 30,000 Euros will have Herbalife, which has Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo as their global icon, provide all energy, fitness and nutritional support to the team aside apparels such as training kits, polo shirts, bags, cones and other merchandise souvenirs.

Team Doctor Dr. Kwaku Boateng told Asantekotokosc.com at the official announcement of the partnership that a special usage menu will be drawn for the players.

In making sure however that the players use the products as rightfully prescribed, Dr. Boateng stated a forum will be held to educate them on the “when to take them, what time and when not to take them”.

He said the medical team would collaborate with Herbalife's medical experts based in Ghana, USA and the United Kingdom to share ideas on issues relating to the usage of the products.
