Andre Ayew is rallying his Marseille teammates to step up the plate to end PSG's   dominance ahead of Sunday's  Lique 1 top-of-the-bill clash.

Marseille have not defeated the reigning French champions since 2011 and have a tall order to stop their supremacy this weekend.

The two sides go at each other at the Stade Velodrome with the home side keen to record their first victory in four years.

And the Ghana international admits successive defeats to Les Parisiens has been frustrating and has urged his teammates to come out all gun blazing to end their losing streak.

“PSG's domination is frustrating. It is hard to accept that and now is time to stop their winning streak because the Ligue 1 Clasico is crucial in the title race. We also have an ego to protect as well as our supporters, who are even more important,” Ayew told l'Equipe.

“This is not our match. It is the match for the city of Marseille and the entire region. We have to be at our best in order not to disappoint our people. It is more important to our supporters than us as players,” he said.

Marseille will topple PSG at the top, provided Lyon failed to get result at Guingamp on Saturday.
