Gilbert Fiamneyo hits back at Mohammed Polo age-cheating allegations, says he is only a BIG BOY

Hearts of Oak striker Gilbert Fiamenyo has refuted allegations from his former coach Mohammed Polo that he has cheated on his age.

The 22-year-old is currently enjoying his most improved form since joining the Phobians three seasons ago.

Fiamenyo is currently the leading scorer in the Ghana Premier League with eight goals from 12 matches.

His impressive goalscoring return so far this season has even led to calls by section of the public to have him called into the Black Stars.

But his former coach Mohammed Polo insists the burly striker cannot sustain his current hot form because he has cheated on his age and is thus past his best.

Fiamenyo, in a sharp rebuttal has invited doubters to do a thorough search of where he was born to back his claim that he is playing with his right age.

“I have not cheated on my age, everyone who cares to know can verify this,” he said.

“I was born in New Town and therefore everyone can go and check. I am a young boy, I only have structure.

“My career has been plagued by injuries and now things are better for me and that is why I am performing.”
