Ex Ghana striker Junior Agogo is making tremendous strides in his recovery from a stroke suffered over two months ago at his base in England.

The 35-year-old has been hospitalized over the period since being hit with the illness.

Agogo is however now able to walk on his own and has already begun working out at his gym.

The former Nottingham Forest hitman posted his first picture since being hospitalized on Wednesday.

The striker had clearly lost a lot of weight as he went about with his workout in the gym.

Agogo was Ghana's poster boy between 2006 and 2009 when he starred for the Black Stars – especially during the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations hosted on home soil.

He became a household name when he led the lines to help Ghana to win bronze.

The former Zamalek player scored 12 goals in 27 matches for the Black Stars.

Agogo played for Bristol Rovers between 2003 to 2006 before moving to Nottingham Forest.

Stroke has normally been associated with the lack of physical activity but his work as a fitness instructors makes fears of the disease worrying.

The former striker has now eased these fears with his post suggesting he is making strides in his recovery.
