Opoku Nti believes, Kumasi Asante Kotoko can only enjoy from gate proceeds when they put up their own stadium to host their home matches as a way to generate enough funds from large supporting base.
It is reported that Kotoko's 1-0 win over Liberty Professionals on Sunday generated over GHC 40,000 as gross, following large attendance due to the club's new marketing strategy of using their coach, David Duncan as the face of the club to attract supporters to the stadium, hence launched 'Operation fill the stadium for Duncan'.
However, the Porcupine Warriors had GHC 17,000 after all statutory deductions and Opoku Nti has expressed much regrets that his side has no stadium of theirs to host home matches.
'There is no way you can come out of this situation. I am praying that things get better that we build our own stadium.
'We had only GHC 17, 000 from our game against Liberty Professionals,' Opoku Nti told Fox fm.
Kotoko will take on El Eulma at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday in the second leg of the CAF Champions League first round.
