Albert Adomah says Boro can be pleased with a six-from-nine points haul as the countdown starts to the resumption of what promises to be a thrilling climax to the Sky Bet Championship season.

Despite signing off with a defeat at Bournemouth before the break for international football, Boro are joint-second in the Championship after two vital wins over fellow promotion-chasers Ipswich and Derby.

“Everyone was disappointed with the Bournemouth result, but we'd had three tough games – one after another – and to get six points out of nine wasn't bad at all,” Adomah told the club's official website.

“We're joint-second with Watford, so now we're looking forward to the next game when we can hopefully end up top.

“It's always tough when you're playing one of the top six and we played three, so to get six out of nine isn't bad.”
