Black Stars Coach Avram Grant picks positives from friendlies against Senegal and Mali

Black Stars coach Avram Grant is satisfied with the performance of his team in the two friendlies games against Senegal and Mali despite losing one and drawing the other.

The 60 year old former Chelsea boss failed to cop up a win in the two games but says he is impressed with the way the team played especially in the absence of key players.

“We played the second half of the Senegal game and that of the Mali without Jonathan Mensah and John Boye and I am happy with what I have seen,” Grant said after the game

“Sometimes this can happen even in games and it is good we test this in situations like this.”

“We missed key players but the ones who came in responded which was key.”
