Nyantakyi Should First Settle The Ills In Ghana Football If He Has Ideas To Resolve Football Disputes In Kenya—Takyi Arhin
28.03.2015 LISTEN

Outspoken football administrator, Takyi Arhin popularly known in the football circles as ''Thunder'' has described GFA boss Lawyer Kwasi Nyantakyi's move to mediate the impasse in the Kenyan Football League as very important but happening at the wrong time.

The harmonic football administrator made this comment in respect to the recent doldrums in Ghana football. According to Takyi Arhin, if Nyantakyi has a vast pool of ideas to resolve football disputes in Kenya, he should first settle the numerous problems in Ghana football.

Mr. Takyi Arhin sees Nyantakyi's attempt as good news for Ghana football but not an achievement for him since his own house is virtually captured by fire. He cited an example that for the past four years, Eastern Region has not been able to organize any football league due to power struggle and no conscious effort is made by the nation's football governing body president Kwasi Nyantakyi to resolve it.

He said.''The recent petition made by Alhaji Grusah which made our league live at the mercy of late start under Nyantakyi's watch depicts that he deserves no praises from Ghanaian football loving fans''.

That notwithstanding, Thunder accused Nyantakyi of sitting in his armchair office for GLO to breach their sponsorship package with the FA and stressed that even some components of the First Capital Plus Bank sponsorship are yet to be received by the clubs. He therefore questioned Nyantakyi's apparent appointment by FIFA for such an assignment and considered it as full of cronyism and lack of merit.

Speaking to ATL FM in Cape Coast, he added that Nyantakyi has overshadowed everybody at the FA making it impossible for any of the FA members to be recognized by CAF and FIFA as respectively.

To him, Mr Ampem Darko who prepares all the administrative letters as well as the league fixtures is a strong pillar at the FA and is in the pole position to represent the FA in any international duties but he is suppressed by Kwasi Nyantakyi.

On his view about the Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association's ruling compelling Berekum Chelsea to forfeit their matches due to the unpaid transfer fee of Solomon Asante to WAFA is frivolous decision and shoddy work on their part.

"I think Berekum Chelsea has been handed a raw deal by the FA and its Disciplinary Committee because of their deliberate attempt to overrule Chelsea's stay of execution." He added. He emphasized that it is strange for the Disciplinary committee to reject a case filed at 4:30pm outright the next day without any laudable reason, this means that the DC didn't sit on the case and this verdict according to Takyi Arhin is clear depiction of a calculated attempt by the FA to frustrate the effort of Chelsea and send them to relegation.

In a related development, Thunder expressed his perpetual disappointment in the PLB boss, Mr Welbeck Abrah Appiah for his surface comment suggesting that Nyantakyi should be allowed to remain the GFA boss till he becomes fed up with enviable position stating that he has respect for Mr. Abrah Appiah but his comment is an unfortunate one.

''Kwasi Nyantakyi's administration is a total fiasco'' he concluded
