The Capital city of Ghana, Accra will host its first major international marathon on September 6, 2015.
According to Millennium Marathon Sports Limited, organizers of the event, the race is going to attract over 15,000 professional athletes across the globe and the finest ever African runner, Haile Gebrselassie, who happens to be the race Director will be in Ghana to grace the occasion.
The marathon will start from the Independence Square in Accra through the Labadi beach road along the Atlantic Ocean and back to the starting point via the National theatre.
