06.03.2015 LISTEN

The Minister for Youth and Sports, Hon. Mahama Ayariga on behalf of Government and the people of Ghana has sent a goodwill message to the Under 20 National Football Team, the Black Satellites, ahead of their campaign in the 2015 African U-20 Championship in Senegal which begins on Sunday, March 8th 2015.

In a press release signed by the head of Public Relations Otor Plahar, the Hon. Minister said he believes the team is up to the task and can emerge victors since they have won all pre-tournament friendly matches.

“The team should emulate the exploits of their predecessors who won both the African and World trophies in 2009. They should not rest on their oars but work hard to raise the flag of Ghana high by qualifying to the World Cup and ultimately bring the trophy home.” Hon. Ayariga said.

The Minister also took the opportunity to urge the technical and management team of the Black Satellites to ensure that the playing body is well conditioned and prepared physically, mentally and psychologically ahead of the competition.

Finally, Hon. Mahama Ayariga requests Ghanaians to remember the team in their prayers as they aim for Gold.
