Andre Ayew grabbed a first half opener for Olympique Marseille in their French League 1 home game against Caen on Friday night.

The Ghanaian scored on the stroke of half time to send his Marseille side 1-0 up going into the interval but a second half slump saw the home side lose by three goals to two.

Andre-Pierre Gignac doubled the lead for Marseille after the break but goals from Nicolas Seube, Emiliano Sala and Nicolas Benezet for Caen saw the away side snatch all three points with a 3-2 win.

Andre Ayew played in the entire duration of the game.

Ghanaian defender John Boye was in full action for his Turkish club Kayseri Erciyesspor against Galaasaray, playing the entire game on Friday night.

Kayseri Erciyesspor lost the away game by three goals to one with Umut Bulut, Aurelien Chedjou and Wesley Sneijder scoring the goals for home side Galatasaray.

Bjoern Vleminckx scored the consolation for Kayseri Erciyesspor as John Boye and his team mates got no points from their travel.

Al Ain forward Asamaoh Gyan scored a brace for the United Arab Emirates club, helping them to a 3-0 victory over Fujairah in the Arabian Gulf League.

Jonathan Mensah missed the away game for his Evian Thonon Gaillard side in the French Ligue 1 on Saturday. Evian played Metz away from home, a game which they won 2-1.
