FEB 28, 2015 LISTEN

Beninois side AS Police will play as host to Ghanaian side Hearts of Oak in the second leg of the 12th Edition of the CAF Confederation Cup today( Saturday) 3:00pm.

TEAM NEWS:
Hearts of Oak will be missing the services of four key players - Owusu Bempah and Seidu Mutawakilu are in the camp of the national U20 team preparing for the AYC championship next month and defender Vincent Atinga and winger Thomas Abbey both failed late fitness test ahead of the game in Cotonou.

AS Police squad has been boosted with the return of their leading marksman Giscard Tchato after his short injury lay off.

MATCH PREVIEW:
Hearts of Oak goes into today's game with a 1-0 first leg win advantage. The Beninois side have to overturn the scoreline in their favour as both teams seek for a qualification into the next stage of the competition.

The two teams met for the first time in their football history a fortnight ago in the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup at the Accra sports Stadium. Selasi Adjei's 46th minute goal won the day for the Phobians.

AS Police in their last domestic league game were held to a pulsating goalless draw at home by ASPAC but they are currently leading the Beninois ligue 1 league log with 12 points in 6 games while their Ghanaian counterpart Hearts of Oak won their last league game by beating Aduana Stars 3-2 at home and are placed 12th on the log sheet with 11 points in 9 games.

However, both coaches ahead of the second leg game spoke on how they are going to approach the game.

AS Police coach, Stanislas Akele said he will be playing attacking football - 'We will be going into the game with 1-0 deficit and Hearts of Oak may want to stay ahead. The first solution for us is to attack.'

Hearts of Oak coach, Herbert Addo said - "My plan for playing continental teams away from home is to attack, attack and attack. It is always the best strategy for me because when you go attacking, your opponents have no opportunities to attack but defend."

The game kicks off  at 3:00 pm at Stade Cotonou II in Benin.
