Football brothers: List of brothers who played in the same team

Kevin-Prince Boateng and Jerome Boateng (Hertha Berlin)

One of the unique stories in football with both players representing the German youth sides while at Hertha Berlin, but would later end up playing for two different national teams.

Of the two half brothers, born in Berlin to the same Ghanaian father, Bayern's Jerome chooses to represent Germany at international level, while Schalke's Kevin-Prince wears the colours of Ghana.

Jerome has cut out a steady, upward trajectory to his career, and is now established as a first team player at Bayern Munich.

Kevin-Prince has excited as much as he has disappointed, and would probably have imagined himself somewhere more glamorous than Schalke at this point.

Jordan and Andre Ayew (Marseille, Ghana)
The Ghanaian brothers have recently played together at the Africa Cup of Nation and were also teammates at Marseille in France.

Andre made his professional debut for Marseille in 2007 in a league match against Valenciennes as a substitute for Modeste M'bami in the 89th minute. He is very instrumental in Marcelo Bielsa's side.

Jordan joined Marseille as a trainee in 2006 and signed a 3-year professional contract with in 2009. He made his debut for the senior team on 16 December 2009 in a league game, scoring the equaliser against Lorient.

Jordan left Marseille last Summer after signing a four-year contract with Lorient.

Rafael and Fabio Da Silva (Manchester United)
The identical twins joined Manchester United as teenagers in 2008, both full-backs following in the brotherly but it was Rafael who made the more rapid progress, picking up a title medal in 2009.

Fabio collected a title medal himself in 2011, but has since been loaned out to Queens Park Rangers.

These two players were tipped to be the next 'Gary and Phil Neville', but it sadly didn't happen.

Ronald and Frank De Boer (Ajax, Barcelona, Holland)

These two are another set of twins on our list and were influential for Ajax as they won the 1995 Champions League. They also played together at Barcelona and at Glasgow Rangers during their footballing careers.

Kolo and Yaya Toure (Manchester City, Ivory Coast)
The two Ivorian's haven't just played together on the international stage, but also played together at Manchester City back in 2012.

Shola and Sammy Ameobi (Newcastle United)
When Shola Ameobi made his debut for Newcastle in 2000 against Chelsea, his younger brother Sammy was just eight years old. Over a decade later the two lined up for the Magpies against Chelsea in a Premier League fixture, with both competing for a striker role at St James' Park.

Gary and Phil Neville (Manchester United)
With two years separating them, Gary and Phil played together at Manchester United for a decade and racked up the medals, winning six Premier League titles, three FA Cups and the Champions League alongside each other, before Phil left for Everton.
