Ghanaian player Daniel Opare was a happy man on Thursday night as he had an Europa League debut with Besiktas to remember.

The Ghanaian played in the entire duration of the Europa League second leg game against Liverpool as the Turkish club dumped the English Premier League side from the competition.

Besiktas qualified to the last 16 of the competition winning on a penalty shoot-outs after playing a 1-1 draw on aggregate.

Black Star player Mubarak Wakaso continue to struggle to find a place in the starting line-up for his Scottish club Celtic after missing another chance of showing what he is made of the UEFA Europa League.

Wakaso's Celtic boss has predicted a positional change might get the Ghana international some playing time but that was not meant to be when Celtic travelled to Italy to play Inter Milan in the second leg of their UEFA Europa League tie.

Mubarak Wakaso missed the six-goal thriller first leg which ended in both teams sharing the goals three each on Celtic soil.

Once again on Thursday night, the Ghanaian player who was impressive in the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations was nowhere to be found near the Celtic playing team as the Scottish club were eliminated from the Europa League.

Inter Milan made their home advantage count in the game as Fredy Guarin scored the only goal to give the Italian side a 4-3 win on aggregate.

Christian Atsu missed the Europa League home game for his Everton side after his man of the match display over the weekend.

The Ghana international did not play a part in the second leg game against Samuel Afum's Young Boys after he was ruled out with illness.

Everton won 3-1 at the Goodison Park to take the aggregate score line to 7-2 against Young Boys.

Samuel Afum was introduced into the game in the 76 minute replacing Yuya Kubo.

Ghanaian player Frank Acheampong and his Anderlecht side were eliminated from the UEFA Europa League on Thursday night after their visit to Russia proved a hard task.

Belgium club Anderlecht travelled to play Russian side Dinamo Moscow in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League game after a goalles draw in the first leg of the round of 32 tie.

Dinamo Moscow came from behind to win on soil to book their place in the last 16 of the competition.

Aleksandar Mitrovic scored the opener for away side Anderlecht to send the Belgium club leading 1-0 going into the interval.

Alexey Kozlov scored the leveler before Artur Yusupov made it 2-1 after Alexander Kokorin had missed a penalty.

Kevin Kuranyi scored the last on the night to give home side Dinamo Moscow a 3-1 win over their match day opponents.

Frank Acheampong played in the entire duration of the defeat for  Anderlecht.

Abdul Majeed Waris did not play a part in any of the Europa League round of 32 games as his Trabzonspor side rounded off a humiliating aggregate score line against Italian side Napoli.

Trabzonspor lost by a single goal to nil away from home in the second leg to send the aggregate score line to a whopping 5-0 defeat.

Ghanaian player Elvis Manu was on the score sheet for Feyernoord but his goal was not enough as the home side on the night lost the game to make an exit from the UEFA Europa League.

Manu equalized for Feyernoord after Adem Ljajic had put away side Roma ahead but Gervinho restored Roma's lead .to hand Feyrnoord a 2-1 defeat.

Elvis Manu was introduced into the game in the 54th minute. Roma qualified to the next round of the competition on a 3-2 aggregate score line.
