Accra Hearts of Oak left Accra for Benin on Thursday afternoon for the second leg  of their CAF Confederation preliminary round fixture against AS Police in Benin.

The Phobians left with a 30 man contingent which comprised of 20 players, 6 technical men and 4 officials.

Initial reports had suggested the team delayed to leave Accra due to some financial challenges but after a prolonged meeting between management and board members the budget sum for the trip was made available.

The team travelled by road with the leader of delegation being GFA executive Committee Member, Eddy Doku.

The  Phobians won the first leg 1-0 a fortnight ago, thanks to Selasi Adjei's 46th minute strike.

Herbert Addo's men will have to battle AS Police on Saturday for qualification to the next stage of the competition.
