Head coach of Hearts of Oak, Herbert Addo has lauded  his players after his side's 3-2 home win over Aduana Stars on match day 9 of the First Capital Plus Bank Premier League as the win lifted them from the relegation zone.

The Phobians survived a late scare from the visitors as the Dormaa based club in the last 10 minutes put Hearts of Oak under the sword with intense pressure searching for the equalizer but the Phobians maintained their composure to picked their first win in 3 games.

After the game elated Hearts of Oak coach, Herbert Addo who had his job on the line lauded the output of his players but admitted that there is more room for improvement.

"I must commend my boys(Players) they did extremely well to beat Aduana Stars. It was a tough game but my boys put up a great fight though we have won there is more  room for improvement because i was not happy with the manner the defenders gave away that 2 goals," Herbert Addo told Allsports.com.gh.

On Hearts of Oak chances in annexing the league title, the 64 year old trainer said every club in the league aim is to win the league but he is not ready to promise anything since the league is in its early stages.

"Winning the league is the priority of all the 16 clubs participating in the league but i'm not ready to promise anything because the league is in its early stages and we have 21 matches to play so lets keep our fingers cross and when we get to the stage we shall see what to do," He added.
