Former Accra Hearts of Oak trainer David Duncan has said in plain words that he owes Asante Kotoko no apology for his pronouncements in the past.

Duncan is tipped to take over the Kotoko coaching job, but that has been greeted with opposition from some quarters of the Red Army.

The former Ashgold/Free State Stars coach has been accused of chiding Kotoko as the pampered child of the Ghana Football Association (GFA); getting all the privileges, from officialdom to the playing body.

However, the tough talking trainer indicated on Happy FM that '…No, I don't owe them an apology, I don't owe Kotoko any apology. If I happen to be there, I will use it to their advantage. It is a certain trump card I play against certain teams.'

Coach Duncan described his past pronouncements and gestures against Kotoko as a mind game which makes the beautiful game complete.

He denied allegations that he will be in the stands when Kotoko play WAFA this weekend in Kumasi, but admitted that there were contractual talks between himself and his prospective employers and that he could move to the Garden City on grounds that the position is vacant and the business package meets his standard.
