1860 Munich new recruit Anthony Annan held his first training session with his new club and admits 'it's going to be tough'.

Annan, 28, completed a surprise move to the German Bundesliga 11 side early this week after winning double with Finnish champions HJK Helsinki.

The former Hearts box-to-box midfielder held his first training session at the Marbella and admits his new adventure will be tough.

“At 1860 Munich, everything comes tough. But that is exactly what I'm looking for,” Annan told the club's website.

The former Schalke midfielder has played for several clubs in Europe including Vitesse Arnhem, Osasuna, Rosenborg and Stabæk.

The Ghana star is related to Ghanaian diplomat and former Secretary-General of the United Nations, Kofi Annan. He is the son of Kofi Annan's cousin.
