Black Stars cache Avram Grant is planning to make life difficult for a South African team that thrives on a free flowing style when the two teams face off at the African Cup of Nations on Tuesday in Mongomo.

South Africa are yet to win a game but have caught the eye with a fast, passing game that has seen them create numerous chances in their games against Algeria and Senegal and Ghana coach Grant says that style must be stopped.

"South Africa impressed me a lot with their play. They play very good football  and remember I saw them in qualification especially away to Nigeria and they played very well.

In tournaments though the most important thing is not to play well alone but to qualify and we are n a position to qualify and we will do our best  but we must give respect to the football South Africa is playing.

"I think we will continue our momentum because the most important thing is to learn form your previous game  and our team showed a lot of spirit and mental strength against Algeria. It is our target to make things very difficult for them tomorrow."

Grant also admitted surprise at the unpredictable trend of this AFCON after two rounds that have failed to separate teams.

"I do not remember any tournament where at this stage there was no qualification for all teams and I have seen a lot of football around the world. There are teams that can qualify with a draw and there are those who can win and still not know if they have qualified. That is why a lot of people like football"
