It was another defeat for AC Milan on another weekend of Serie A action as the Rossoneri's winless run in the Italian league stretched to five matches including none in the now four games of the new year after they gave up the lead to lose 1-3 at Lazio.

Milan were the first to score at the Stadio Olimpico courtesy Jeremy Menez's strike after only 4 minutes, a lead they took to halftime but within two minutes of the restart, German World Cup legend, Miroslav Klose set up Marco Parolo to equalise for Lazio before putting the hosts ahead four minutes later and Parolo sealed the three points with nine minutes left on the clock.

Like the club, it was also another disappointing night for their Ghanaian duo, Sulley Muntari and Michael Essien, both of who were consigned to the bench by underfire Milan coach, Filipo Inzaghi.

Muntari will get his chance to join the action with seven of the 90 minutes remaining when he replaced Andrea Poli as his side already trailed by the final result but Essien missed out yet again on game time as speculation about his future intensifies.

It meant that Milan have now not won a game in Serie A since their surprise 2-0 home win over Napoli on December 14 last year and have now taken a paltry two points from the last available 15.

Worse, Milan have yet to notch a win in the league in 2015 following three defeats and a solitary point from a 1-1 draw at Torino. Follow @thedonplato
