King Faisal have initiated a fresh action against the Ghana Football Association (GFA) after serving a writ on the football governing body, according to Allsports.com.gh.

The writ, which was handed to the association through its lawyer Thaddeus Sory, was also served on Premier League side, Aduana Stars by the Kumasi-based club.

Sources say the GFA had failed to provide the undertaking stated as part of the lifting of the previous injunction by a Human Rights Court which allowed the delayed league season to proceed.

According to Alhaji Grusah's side, the Ghana FA was supposed to pass a resolution at Congress which could have allowed them to play in the Ghana Premier League if they win the case.

The case will be heard on January 28, 2015.
The league which should have started in September was put on hold because of the lawsuit filed against the FA by King Faisal football Club contesting the legitimacy of their relegation from the elite football division.

Meanwhile the Ghana Football Association has maintained that the league will kick off as schedule this weekend.

In a statement published on its official website, ghanafa.org, the GFA said, 'The Ghana Football Association (GFA) can today (Friday) confirm that all match-day-1 Premier League matches will be played as scheduled.

'Clubs, match-day officials and the general public are to disregard reports in sections of the media that the 2014/2015 First Capital Plus Premier League will not kick off on Saturday January 17, 2015 as planned.'
