The Porcupine Warriors midfielder, Richard Mpong, has also extended his contract with the Ghana Premier League Champions.
“Richard Mpong has renewed his contract for a year; that is the latest news in camp” General Manager Opoku Nti told the club official website.
Mpong, who joined Asante Kotoko from Medeama about three seasons ago, could not be reached for comments. He is however the third Kotoko player after Abeiku Ainooson and Michael Akuffu to renew his contract in almost a week.
Asante Kotoko will will take on Dormaa Aduana Stars in the First Capital Plus Bank Premier League opener.
