Cup of Nations Anger: Furious Demba Ba slams Senegal for AFCON snub
DEC 29, 2014 LISTEN

Striker Demba Ba has expressed his anger after missing out on the 28-man Senegalese provisional squad for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) set for Equatoria Guinea from mid January to early February 2015.

The former Chelsea and Newcastle United striker called for the national team coach Alain Giresse to explain why he was left out despite having scored 16 goals in 19 appearances for his current club so far this season.

Destroy them one by one
"I can't wait to hear his excuses and destroy them one by one," Ba posted on his Twitter account.

"The coach called and said that I needed to rest and take care of my ankle. It feels strange to me as I am completely fit and able to play football," the 29 year old told a Senegalese publication.

"If Alain Giresse wanted to include me, he would have done so as he knows that my ankle is completely fine," he added.
