Breaking News: Kotoko handed East End Lions of Sierra Leone in Champions League
22.12.2014 LISTEN

Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko have been handed a favourable draw in next year's CAF Champions League to play Sierra Leonean side East End Lions in February.

The Porcupine Warriors will travel to Freetown to play February 13-15 in the first leg of the competition following the draw in Cairo on Monday.

The return leg will be played two weeks later in Kumasi.

The clash with East End Lions is considered an easy one for the Porcupine Warriors as they have not got any notable star players in their squad.

The competition in Sierra Leone has also been halted because of the effects of the deadly Ebola disease.

East End Lions represents the East End of Freetown, and play their home games at the National Stadium.

East End Lions are one of the two biggest and most successful football clubs in Sierra Leonean football history (along with their main rivalry Mighty Blackpool).

The club was founded in 1928 and is one of the oldest football clubs in Sierra Leone.
