In the English Premier League on Saturday, Jeffrey Sclupp and his Leicester City side were handed a 2-0 defeat away from home by West Ham United.

Goals from Andy Caroll and Stewart Downing in each half of the game secured all three points for home side West Ham United.

Schlupp played in the entire duration of the game without a booking.

Christian Atsu continues to recover from his injury sustained in the UEFA Europa League and did not play a part for Everton in their away game against Southampton.

Everton were defeated by three goals to none in the English Premier League game on Saturday.

Albert Adomah and his Middlesbrough side also endured an away defeat in the English Championship. The Ghanaian played in the first half of the game before making way for Lee Tomlin in the 2-0 defeat.

In the Italian Serie A, Richmond Boakye Yiadom played the first half of the game against Palermo for his Atalanta side. The Ghanaian however could not find the back of the net in the 45 minutes he played before being replaced by Rolando Bianchi in the six-goal thriller.

The spoils were shared in the home game for Atalanta with a 3-3 full time score line.

Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu played the full game for his Udinese side when they traveled away to Sampdoria in the Serie A on Sunday.

Udinese managed to hold on and secure a 2-2 draw in the game after seeing their man Thomas Heurtaux sent off.

Sulley Ali Muntari made a substitute appearance for his AC Milan side in their away game against Roma on Saturday.

The Ghanaian replaced Andrea Poli nine minutes to the end of regular time when his AC Milan side were a man down.

The game between Roma and Milan ended in a goalless draw.

AC Milan player and Ghana international Michael Essien did not play a part in the game.

Ghanaian player Abdul Baba Raman and his Augsburg side returned to winning ways against Borussia Moenchengladbach on Saturday in the German Bundesliga.

Augsburg accumulated four consecutive wins in the German Bundesliga before their game with German Champions Bayern Munich last week.

Baba Raman declared his willingness to stop Arjen Robben ahead of the game but his Augsburg side had a mare in the 4-0 defeat with Robben scoring a brace.

Augsburg lost 2-0 in their next game against Hannover 96 away from home but beat Moenchengladbach 2-1 on Saturday.

Markus Feulner scored the equalizer for Augsburg after the away side had taken the lead from the penalty spot with Raul Marcelo Bobadilla scoring the winner.

Abdul Baba Raman played in the entire duration of the game and received a yellow card booking.

Kevin-Prince Boateng missed the last game of 2014 for his Schalke 04 side on Saturday in the German Bundesliga.

The Ghanaian missed the 0-0 draw against Hamburger SV as he is still struggling with injuries.

Andre Ayew had a perfect football weekend before Christmas as his Olympiqu Marseille side secured all three points in the French Ligue 1 with a 2-1 home win against Lille.

Nolan Roux scored an own goal to give home side Marseille the lead. Idrissa Gana Gueye equalized for Lille after the break but Michy Batshuayi score the winner for Marseille six minutes after the equalizer.

Jordan Ayew was on target for Lorient in the home game against Nantes on Saturday but had to endure a defeat at the end of the full game.

Nantes took the lead via Yacine Bammou in the first half before Ayew equalized for his side after the interval. Johan Audel however scored the winner for Nantes to deny Lorient any point in the game.

Ghanaian player Ayew played the full game without a booking.

Jonathan Mensah missed the defeat for his Evian Thonon Gaillard side against Saint Etienne on Sunday as the Ghanaian player continues his recovery from an injury lay off.

Evian were beaten by three goals to nil away from home.

Derek Boateng was in action in the Spanish La Liga on Saturday as he played the full game for his Eibar side against Valencia.

The Ghanaian and his side who were playing at home lost by a goal to nil with Francisco Alcacer scoring the goal for Valencia.

Frank Acheampong played 72 minutes for Anderlecht in the Belgium Pro League on Saturday. The Ghanaian and his away side scored in each half of the game to secure a 2-0 win.
