Ghana U20 Management Committee chairman Winfried Osei Kwaku feels confident about the Black Satellites chances of progress from a tough 2015 African Youth Championship group.

The three-time African champions have been drawn in Group B together with Southern African pair of South Africa, Zambia and West African side Zambia.

South Africa and Mali are known opposition to Ghana in the tournament while Zambia are emerging force in youth football on the continent.

The Black Satellites have reached the final in their last three attempts in the African competition and must maintain the level of quality achieved.

“The teams in the group are of high quality but I believe with adequate and right preparations we can progress in the group,” he told GHANAsoccernet.com.

Ghana play South Africa in the group's opening game on March 9 and, Osei – popularly known in football circles as Parma, believes the Amajita pose a threat to Ghana's campaign.

“They are in a period of renaissance and the fact that we are in the same group with them in the AFCON would sit the rivalry into our game. The current Bafana Bafana coach used to be their head coach and that shows a lot to us.”

Osei Parma also confirmed Sellas Tetteh would name foreign-based players in his squad for the tournament.

“I've not seen the squad but I'm sure we have identified some good players playing abroad and we will begin the process of liaising with their clubs and agents to get them for the tournament.”
