Cricket Cricket: Changes made to Australia's triangular ODI series against England and India
DEC 2, 2014 LISTEN

Cricket Australia revealed on Tuesday that Australia's opening two matches of the ODI event have been swapped around following changes to the host nation's Test series versus India, following the tragic death of batsman Phillip Hughes.

Australia will now face England in the opening match in Sydney on January 16 before hosting India in Melbourne two days later.

With Hughes' funeral set to take place on Wednesday, the first Test between Australia and India will now be held in Adelaide starting on December 9.

Brisbane's Test - traditionally the first of the Australian summer - will be the second and has been pushed back to start on December 17, before Melbourne (starting December 26) and Sydney (January 6) host matches.

With Sydney's fourth Test beginning four days later than its traditional start date of January 2, India will no longer play in the opening ODI to give them more recovery time.
