Captain Fernando San Emeterio scored the historic basket in the second quarter as Laboral Kutxa took a seven-point lead into half-time.

Olympiacos kept pace with their Basque hosts in the second stanza but Laboral Kutxa blitzed their visitors in the third quarter, scoring 24 points to 15 and then stretched their lead further in the final term to win by 19.

Tornike Shengelia top-scored for the home team with 14 points, while San Emeterio and Mirza Begic (both 12 points) were also handy contributors.

Olympiacos' Vassilis Spanoulis notched a game-high 27 points for the visitors.

The victory was only Laboral Kutxa's third of the 2014-15 Euroleague season but it ended Olympiacos' perfect start to their continental campaign as the Greek club lost their first of seven games in Group D.

Olympiacos (6-1) remain top of the group's standings, while Laboral Kutxa (3-4) are well behind.

Elsewhere in Spain, UNICS stunned Real Madrid on their home patch, winning 85-75.

D'or Fischer and Curtis Jerrells led the way for UNICS with 25 and 23 points respectively, while they also pulled down 16 rebounds between them.

After trailing by four points at half-time, UNICS did the damage in the third quarter, outscoring Madrid 26-15 to set up their 10-point triumph.

The win was just the second for the Russian outfit this season, while Madrid suffered their first defeat but remain top of Group A with a 5-1 record.

UNICS (2-4) are fifth behind Anadolu Efes (4-2), Zalgiris Kaunas (3-3) and Nizhny Novgorod (3-3).

In Group B, CSKA Moscow stayed perfect with an 84-61 victory at Maccabi Electra, the Russians' sixth win of the campaign, while Alba Berlin edged out Unicaja Malaga 79-78.

Fenerbahce Ulker defeated Turow Zgorzelec 89-74 and Crvena Zvezda trumped Neptunas 79-62.
