Ghana FA president Kwesi Nyantakyi will announce his decision to quit his post as the chairman of the Black Stars Management Committee today.

According to a report in the Graphic Sports, Ghana football's top executive will hold an important meeting today which is expected to see major changes to the management structure of the national teams.

Nyantakyi's exit will be in fulfilment of a promise he made in July that he is considering leaving the post by the time the executives are reshuffled.

GFA spokesperson, Ibrahim Sannie Daara, confirmed to the Graphic Sports that the FA's Executive Committee members would discuss, among other important things, changes in the management set-up of the national teams with new appointments at today's meeting in Accra.

Nyantakyi wants to concentrate on his job of running the day-to-day affairs of Ghana football as his leadership of the Black Stars management committee has become a subject of interest to some unseen hands.

He has seen wisdom in calls for him to take a back seat.

It remains uncertain who is likely to succeed Mr Nyantakyi at the top job, particularly with a new technical head in place following the appointment of Israeli coach, Avram Grant.

There is intense speculation that former FA vice-president, Fred Pappoe, George Afriyie, the successful leaders of Ghana's previous U20 feats while long-serving Adam Munkaila and MNS Does could be considered.
