Asamoah Gyan undergoes medical test with Al Ain teammates

Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan joined his club teammates at Al Ain to undergo a periodic medical checkup on Wednesday.

Blood and urine sample were taken off all the players with the exception of those with the UAE national team who are on international duty.

The players were also made to undergo some exercises in the club's gym – all as part of the periodic medical checkup.

The medical examination is to ensure that all players of Al Ain maintain their high health status and also to avoid any medical condition that may eventually arise.

Gyan is set to make a return to first team football with Al Ain after a month out with a thigh problem.

Results of the medical examination remain confidential as part of the contractual agreements with the players.
