England head coach Stuart Lancaster has turned to the in-form Waldrom to replace Billy Vunipola after the Saracens back row suffered concussion during a defeat to Northampton Saints on Sunday having been overlooked for the clash with Samoa.

Waldrom, who has scored seven tries in eight Aviva Premiership matches, is joined in a 34-man squad by Stephen Myler after the fly-half recovered from a hamstring injury.

Myler proved he was back to full fitness by kicking 16 points in Saints' victory over Saracens, which ensured they returned to the top of the table.

Lock Courtney Lawes has been included in the squad and his fitness will be assessed ahead of England's final game of the year after he suffered a knee injury in Saturday's victory over Samoa.

Lancaster made five changes for the Test against Samoa and a new-look side ended a run of five consecutive defeats by securing a 28-9 victory.

England squad: Dave Attwood, Graham Kitchener, George Kruis, Courtney Lawes, Calum Clark, James Haskell, Ben Morgan, Chris Robshaw, Thomas Waldrom, Tom Wood, Danny Care, Lee Dickson, Richard Wigglesworth, Ben Youngs, Brad Barritt, Luther Burrell, Kyle Eastmond, Owen Farrell, George Ford, Stephen Myler, Billy Twelvetrees, Mike Brown, Alex Goode, Jonny May, Jack Nowell, Semesa Rokoguduni, Anthony Watson, Marland Yarde.
