Ghana goalkeeper Razak Brimah kept a vital clean sheet to help CD Mirandes to an important 1-0 win over Leganes in the Spanish second tier on Sunday.

The 27-year-old returned to first team action for his club having made his competitive debut for the Black Stars in their final 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Mirandes were desperate for a win to ensure they get out of the drop zone in the Segunda Division.

The side had to wait until the final minute of regulation time to pick all three points courtesy a strike by Cesar Caneda.

Carlos Terraza's team is now just a point above the relegation zone having leapfrogged their Sunday opponents.
